Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house that has a combined gross family earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence revenue does not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and want not submit any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African 2025 nsfas application citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are nsfas 2025 reminded to deliver the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are studying or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply nsfas status check timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
